Treesistance partners with Indigenous peoples in the Brazilian Amazon, focusing on the protection of primary rainforests by implementing disruptive models that have long lasting and tangible impact.
Their theory of change focuses on 4 strategic pillars;
1) Access to Justice
2) Communications
3) Renewable Energy
4) Economic Development
Oof is supporting the Treesistance Water Guardians project. This innovative new model will provide the technology, logistical support and training required for the Munduruku people of Braganca / Marituba and Taquara to prevent predatory fishing, stop invasions on their land (who use the waterways as an access point) and protect the precious ecosystem both they and we rely upon.
